Let's Not Squander All That Handsome Malaysian Talent

Malaysians are not inferior! And to drive that point home, Malaysian officials have banned a car advertisement featuring Brad Pitt to keep Malaysians from feeling badly about themselves.

"We barred the advertisement as it appeared as a humiliation against Asians," said the Malaysian Deputy Information Minister, who is trying to weed out Western faces in Malaysian advertising. He said, "Why do we have to use their faces in our advertisements? Are our own people not handsome?"

Please don't ask questions that you don't want to know the answer to. SMH.

I think this is the ad they're complaining about -- how many Toyota commercials could Brad Pitt be in?

Someone should tell the Malaysian deputy minister of information about a little something called Anime if he's worried about Western faces making Malaysians feel inferior.
